"This Little Light of Mine" is a gospel song written for children in the 1920s by Harry Dixon Loes. It was later adapted by Zilphia Horton, amongst many other activists, in connection with the civil rights movement. I Know Who Holds Tomorrow is an album by American violinist/singer Alison Krauss and the Cox Family, released in 1994.

At the Grammy Awards of 1995, I Know Who Holds Tomorrow won the Grammy Award for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album.

It is a popular repetitive children's song from the United States, United Kingdom, etc. The song has been noted for its similarities to "Molodejnaya", a song appearing in the 1938 Soviet musical film Volga-Volga. Like many children's songs, there are many versions of the lyrics. A popular version goes like this:

King of the road

This song, King of the road, the simplified sheet music can be downloaded here. "King of the Road" is a song written by country singer Roger Miller, who first recorded it in November 1964.

The lyrics tell of the day-to-day life of a vagabond hobo who, despite being poor (a "man of means by no means"), revels in his freedom, describing himself humorously or possibly cynically as the "king of the road".Miller performed at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa back in 1972. Boise broadcast historian Frank Aden remembers it well. “He came out on stage and, before he sang, he said, 'For any of those who are here from Boise, you'll be proud to know that I wrote King of the Road in Boise. 

The popular crossover record hit No. 1 on the US Country chart,^[3] No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and No. 1 on the Easy Listening surveys.^[4] It was also No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart,^[5] and in Norway. Miller recalled that the song was inspired when he was driving and saw a sign on the side of a barn that read, "Trailers for sale or rent".^[6] This would become the opening line of the song.

The song has been covered by many other artists, including George Jones, Dean Martin, Val Doonican, Jack Jones, James Booker, The Fabulous Echoes, Boney M., R.E.M., Johnny Paycheck, Glen Campbell, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Boxcar Willie, Randy Travis, Rangers, James Kilbane, John Stevens, the Statler Brothers, Rufus Wainwright & Teddy Thompson, Giant Sand, Peligro, John Williamson (singer) & Adam Harvey, The Proclaimers, Ray Conniff Singers, The Reverend Horton Heat, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Jim White. James "The King" Brown (an Elvis impersonator) performed the song for a 2001 Audi commercial on German TV.^[7] Of R.E.M.'s version, a shambolic, drunken, offhand rendering, guitarist Peter Buck would later comment, "If there was any justice in the world, Roger Miller should be able to sue for what we did to this song."

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Today's song is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" but the original title of the song is actually "Over The Rainbow"."Over the Rainbow" is a ballad composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg. It was written for the movie The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland in her starring role as Dorothy Gale. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and became Garland's signature song. Zum Gali Gali (Hebrew: זום גלי גלי‎) is an Israeli folk song associated with the Kibbutz, Israel's collective agricultural communities. The song is sometimes referred to by the title Israeli Work Song and is known for its rhythmic style. The song begins with the repeated refrain ("zum gali gali") before proceeding to the verses.^[1] The repeated refrain itself is a nonsensical verse,^[2] and has no direct translation into English.

The exact origins and authorship of Zum Gali Gali is unknown. While the song is associated with the Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek it is possible that it was composed elsewhere. It may have first been performed as part of a play. The first publication of the song was in 1939 by the Hebrew Publishing Company (NY, USA), indicating it was popular among American Jews at the time. Subsequent publications, such as a 1948 recording by Meir Lokitz, recorded as part of The Stonehill Collection: Recording of Holocaust survivors and Jewish immigrants to the United States, contains alternate verses with the standard refrain. The song was first performed in a non-Jewish context by the German instrumentalist Bert Kaempfert.

Early One Morning

"Early One Morning" (Roud V9617) is an English folk song with lyrics first found in publications as far back as 1787. A broadside ballad sheet in the Bodleian Library, Oxford, dated between 1828 and 1829  has the title "The Lamenting Maid" and refers to the lover leaving to become a sailor.

The now well-known melody was first printed by William Chappell in his publication National English Airs c.1855-1859. The melody may be derived from an earlier song "The Forsaken Lover".
